Part II
I had a dream.
Do you dream?
We lived the same,
died the same.
We rode the waves
during the day,
and at night we’d bring peace.
Do you sleep?
I had a dream
we were free.
We lived the same,
died the same.
You clarified
daunting haze.
Stole all the night-
mares away.
We lived our lives
centuries.
Washed all our sins
in the sea.
Relinquished our souls
to its door.
Then charged the storm
like a war.
You birthed a mil-
lion white stars
and loved them with
all your heart.
Cried, dried your eyes
when they died
cause they lit
up the whole goddamn sky.
I had a dream.
Do you dream?
We lived the same,
died the same.
You held my hand
when we danced.
Surrendered your love,
took that chance.
We had our dreams.
Do they dream?
We lived our way,
died our way.
Gifted the waves
during the day,
and at night we brought peace.
Do they sleep?
